Episode 6
My Many Amazing Adventures

We Figured it would be safest to go in parties of two. I went with Percy, Sandy went with Luke, Tim went with Megan, Drew went with Logan, Rusty went with Hugo, and Ethan and Jason brought up the back. We had no problems until Drew and Logan crossed. They were nearly half way to the middle when the bridge snapped. Drew held on to the rope railings, but Logan wasn't so fortunate. He fell. Drew must have felt really bad because she let go. As she fell past Logan she grabbed him. They fell faster and faster. Then Drew yelled something at Logan. He took his shirt off along with his belt and handed them to Drew. In a moment she fastened wings. She slipped them on her arms and Logan climbed on her back. Drew must have been a bird in her previous life because she knew exactly how to catch the wind in her wings. She guided them over to a rock sticking out of the side of the wall. There they landed. They still looked a bit shaken, but other than a few burns they were fine. Just as nothing seemed to be worse, a pterodactyl swooped down and picked them both up in it's claw. "Drop me, you scaly chicken vulture!" We heard Drew yell. "I can already fly perfectly fine on my own." Well that was a relief. As long as
Drew still has her sense of humor everything is fine. The Dino swooped down and dropped them in front of the others who ad already crossed the bridge safely. Then it flew back over everyone scurried away to hide except for Hugo. The pterodactyl tilted his to one side and squawked. Hugo bowed and held one arm out. Then he boarded.
The others joined him. Once everyone landed safely on the other side Hugo thanked the dinosaur and it flew off. "You never told me you were bilingual." Tim said. "Actually, I'm trilingual, I speak stegasorian." He replied. "Do you think you can teach me?" Rusty asked.
                          ...
We made camp. One tent for the girls, one tent for the boys, and one tent for the injured. Percy had some pretty cool healing tricks up his sleeve. So we left it to him. In the morning we found Drew back in the girls, but Percy and Logan were still in the injured tent. No one spoke during breakfast. Drew told us that Logan was still unconscious when she left and he looked pretty bad. Later Percy came out for a snack and was bombarded with questions. All he said was that Logan would be fine, he was just resting. Luke demanded to see him. When Luke came out, it was obvious something was wrong. We spent the rest of the day doing our own things. I was making more weapons and repairing the old ones with Tim and Rusty. Ethan, Hugo, and Sandy were hunting and collecting berries. Drew, Megan, and Jason were repairing the clothes and making armor. Luke was in the tent with Logan and Percy. We spent the rest of the day doing our jobs while Ethan, Sandy and Hugo made dinner. We went to sleep. That night I barely slept, but that was a good thing 'cause I was the first one to hear  the T-Rex. We formed battle positions and we had to convince Luke to protect the injured tent. Hugo talked some sense into the T-Rex through stegasorian. Turns out we didn't have fight, but no one went back to sleep. The next morning Logan walked out of the injured tent. He hung his head low. When he did raise it (A few hours later) everyone gasped. He had two large scars. One ran from on top of his ear through his upper lip. The other one ran from his forehead down his cheekbone and halfway down his jaw. That wasn't it though. The second scar ran through his eye which was now covered with a patch.
Nobody talked much for the rest of the day. People did congratulate Percy. That's how it went on for four more days. Hike, camp, eat, sleep, eat, hike...     No one resisted, no one talked it was the most boring time of my life.

  1. "Hike, camp, eat, sleep, eat, hike ... " It sounds a bit like our routine: "sleep, eat, work, eat, work, eat, sleep, eat, work, eat, work, eat, sleep ...
