Episode 3
My Many Amazing Adventures
The last treasure was hidden in a tree so well hidden that it took us nearly an hour to find it. First we had to climb the tree all the way to the top and when we got there we found a chute going all the way back down to the ground, but it was on the inside of the tree. Down at the bottom was something definitely a treasure for it was shinny but I couldn't make out what it was. "Ladies first." I said patting him encouragingly on the back. "Sure, I'm perfectly fine with you going first. Whenever you're ready." He replied. I growled at him then I jumped. It was much faster getting down than getting up the only hard part was the landing, and also the part where Jason fell on me. But in the end we both lived, which is perfectly fine with me. It was easy getting the treasure-a flashlight-the hard part was getting out. The sides were as smooth as silk (kind of hard for bark to be smooth). Fortunately Jason brought rope. So after we got out we sat in the shade and tried to put three rags, three pieces of paper, and a flashlight together to make the worlds top treasure. However, nothing we tried worked.
"How about we search in the book." Jason suggested. We spent thirty minutes reading the entire book-872 pages long. The answer to our question was on the eight hundred seventy-second page, it was in the author's note. Apparently, we had fit to the first rag and first paper together, and the second rag and the second paper together, and the third paper and the third rag together then shine the flashlight on all of them. This way the codes merge to form English. The first set of codes gave us the map to the worlds top treasure. The second set of codes gave us the recipe for a potion to make one immortal and the third set of codes gave us a spell that whenever you say it you get three wishes and it never runs out. Amazing hu? "Alright pal, nice working with you and thanks for the help. I'll just be leaving. Oh, and, uh I'll be taking these." Jason said pointing to our treasures. "Oh, uh, no no no no no. I think we should split them. I take one, you take one, and we leave one for one lucky person who stumbles across it. That's the only fair solution in my opinion." "Or, I could take it all." He said "Or I could take it all, right? That wouldn't be fair to you, would it?" I asked. "Fine we'll do it your way, but I want the three wishes, OK? "Sure, I'll take the next treasure map." I said. Then we parted ways. Me back to the cafeteria, him, who knows where. "see ya later Mr. Visible!" Jason shouted. "see ya later Jason!" I called back.
Some lucky person is gonna become immortal today. I thought to myself. When I reached the cafeteria it was dismissal time in one minute. "Phew, I just barely made it back."
